In culture we trust.

In his last will and testament in 1980, Jersey resident Mr William Charles Richmond-Pickering bequeathed a portion of his estate to the States of Jersey to be used to enable interested Jersey residents to travel abroad in order to enhance their appreciation of art, craft and/or history.

Through Rivington we administer his wishes

Through his generosity, Mr William Charles Richmond-Pickering has become the benefactor of Jersey’s cultural community, allowing Jersey residents of any age, gender or ability to follow their dreams in travelling to see art beyond Jersey and on the world stage.

William was a traveller and art lover. Cuttings books from his travels and experiences can be viewed at The Jersey Archive and include cards, programmes, letters and tickets, cartoons, news cuttings, tickets, invitations, postcards, receipts and other souvenirs.

The Rivington Fund is dedicated to upholding Mr Richmond-Pickering's wishes by administering this fund widely and fairly, enriching the lives of Jersey residents through the art, culture and history.
